Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2290 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Required Skills/Experience: - EKG/telemetry strip interpretation and medication titration required.

Unit Details: - Adult cardio thoracic telemetry unit with patients including MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, lung surgery, chest tubes, esophagectomy (not fresh from PACU), and general medicine overflow. - Nurse-patient ratios: days 1:4-5, nights 1:5-6; surgical staffing may increase ratios to days 1:6 and nights 1:7. - Titrates drips mainly Cardizem and heparin. - 24/7 charge nurse available and rarely takes patients; house supervisor available 24/7. - PCT support ratios: days 1:8-9, evenings 1:9-10, nights 1:10-12. - Uses CPAP, BiPAP for home-regimen patients, and heated high flow in special circumstances with COVID patients. - Uses Phillips telemetry monitors; monitor techs are available.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend; nights work Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. - Holiday rotation includes Memorial Day Eve, July 3rd, Labor Day Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. - No call at this time.

Floating Requirements: - Float to other general medical units.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
