Full job description

Director of Nursing
Pomeroy Living is seeking a highly skilled Director of Nursing to manage our nursing department and ensure the highest quality of care for our residents at our state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating nursing care and services provided to residents, developing policies and procedures, and managing a team of nursing professionals.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the nursing department and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
* Evaluate nursing care and services provided to residents and implement improvements as needed
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of care
* Manage a team of nursing professionals and provide ongoing training and support
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care for residents
* Monitor performance and provide feedback to nursing staff
* Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new nursing staff
* Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care provided
Requirements:
* Active nursing license in the state of Michigan
* Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing management
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
* Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
