Carmichael Lynch is hiring for an Associate Creative Director, Copywriter (ACD/CW) to make and contribute to award-winning creative on our Subaru of America client account. Our ACDs are the heart & soul of the shop. They know the business, have proven experience building client relationships, and can be trusted to lead projects and run productions solo. They can adapt and deliver at the highest level on any brief thrown their way, no matter how big or small. They have excellent craft, can translate feedback with ease, and manage their time well. They know how to examine briefs, know when (and how) to push, and how to show up for their creative directors, integrated teams, and the creatives they oversee on any given project.

  • Can seamlessly jump on other clients as a pinch hitter creative to move the needle on conceptual work.
  • Developing creative management craft- delivering feedback, motivating, teaching, and knowing when to jump in and solve if/when necessary.
  • Readiness to help set the bar for creative craft and excellence.
  • Knows their clients, knows their briefs, knows their tone, knows their business.

People Skills:

  • Building client relationships and trust.
  • Effortless presentation style with the ability to speak to full-funnel campaign strategy.
  • Leader in cross-departmental integration on projects.
  • Honed time management skills. Knows how to carve out time for working team projects and balance meetings/reviews/feedback when leading projects.
  • Knows how to manage up. Has the trust of CDs/ECDs/CCO to reliably block & tackle internal and client needs across accounts.
  • Is a go-to for more junior creatives with the ability to teach and mentor.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience in a traditional advertising agency Copywriter position.
  • Proven record of concepting, selling, and shipping full-funnel creative work, inclusive of TV, online video, social, influencer, digital, and experiential activations.
