Restaurant FOH Manager

The Server Manager is responsible for all facets of management of the restaurant service, including hiring, training, maintaining service standards and employee recognition and motivation. We are looking for someone that can hold people accountable and who excel in both praising employees and course-correcting. This role combines administrative support, project coordination and team communication. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, system-minded, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities at once.

Restaurant Manager Responsibilities and Benefits:

• Assuring proper greet times, order times, table maintenance and payments are performed in a timely manner
• A lead by example attitude or servant leadership. Be able to jump in and help at any of the positions in the restaurant.
• Restaurant Server Manager position.
• Recruiting, training and managing restaurant service staff.
• Ensuring that cleaning and maintenance of the restaurant are being performed.
• Lead pre-shift team briefings, schedule shifts, train new servers, and guide employee performance.
• Proper closing of the restaurant. Walk through, securing the building and the shutdown of lighting and music. Enabling alarm system at close of business.

Restaurant Manager Qualifications

• 5 + years of experience in restaurant service, food & beverage supervisory position.
• Ability to manage staff, resolve conflicts, and communicate clearly with guests and upper management.
• Strong verbal communication and active problem-solving.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended shift periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of computers and Toast POS.
• Experience in upscale restaurant environment.
• Detail oriented and up to date on food handling and safety standards
• Proper problem-solving and customer service skills
