Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Assist dentists during various procedures such as cleanings, restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology like 3D scanners while maintaining proper radiation safety standards.
- Manage patient records efficiently using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Open Dental ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding accurately during procedures.
- Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging when necessary to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Familiarity with EMR systems like Open Dental, Eagle soft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding related to dental procedures.
- Experience is preferred.
- Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training; additional certifications in endodontics or prosthodontics are a plus.
