Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center – is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible fellowship-trained Pediatric Urologist to join our established academic urology practice in Shreveport, Louisiana. Completion of an accredited Pediatric Urology Fellowship through the appropriate AUA/SPU pathway required.
This is an opportunity to step into an established pediatric urology practice with approximately 40 years of history in the region, while benefiting from the academic resources and resident support of LSU Health Shreveport and the efficiency, compensation, and infrastructure of Regional Urology.
Highlights of the Position:
- $600,000 starting compensation with reasonable incentives that allow $800k+ in first year for Board-Eligible/Certified Urologists.
- Established pediatric urology patient population and referral base
- Flexible shared call with Resident primary call
- 7 urologists, 7 APPs, 10 urology residents
- Resident inpatient support
- Pediatric surgical specialists available within the system
- Opportunity to lead and grow Pediatric Urology for North Louisiana and the Ark-La-Tex
- Longstanding referral relationships with significant unmet regional demand
Opportunity to build a busy academic Pediatric Urology practice without sacrificing quality of life.
This position:
- Blend of inpatient and outpatient
- da Vinci Xi robotic access
- Dedicated surgical block time available
- Dedicated pediatric inpatient unit
- Pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, pediatric anesthesia/sedation resources
- Pediatric nursing and critical-care support
- Level II Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Dedicated urology specific ASC – VERY UNIQUE - 3 full operating rooms
- Clinic, procedure rooms, and ORs within the same building
- Efficient turnover and workflow
- Join our team at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level
Compensation and Benefits:
- $600,000 starting compensation with reasonable incentives that allow $800k+ in first year for Board-Eligible/Certified Urologists.
