About Jesse's Garage

Jesse's Garage is seeking an experienced Vintage & Classic Car Technician in Sarasota, FL, with a salary range of $75,000–$120,000 per year, paid weekly. This Monday–Friday position focuses on the diagnosis, service, and repair of classic and vintage Domestic and European automobiles. Jesse's Garage is open seven days a week, giving customers access to the shop throughout the week while this technician position maintains a Monday–Friday schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair vintage and classic automobiles.
  • Perform engine, fuel, ignition, cooling, brake, steering, suspension, drivetrain, and electrical repairs.
  • Diagnose mechanical concerns using hands-on knowledge and traditional diagnostic methods.
  • Troubleshoot carbureted engines, older fuel-delivery systems, and ignition systems.
  • Research vehicle-specific repair procedures, specifications, and parts when necessary.
  • Identify mechanical concerns and clearly communicate repair findings.
  • Perform detailed work on Domestic and European classic vehicles while protecting valuable, rare, and enthusiast-owned automobiles.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of professional automotive repair experience.
  • Previous hands-on experience working with vintage and/or classic automobiles.
  • Strong automotive diagnostic, mechanical troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working on older Domestic and/or European vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose vehicles using hands-on testing and traditional methods rather than relying solely on modern scan tools.
  • ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
