Friday ‐ Saturday, 7 am ‐ 7 am ‐‐ 48‐hour shift
20 patients seen per 24 hours ‐‐ 10 phone consults
General surgery setting ‐‐ adult and trauma coverage
Laparoscopic surgery required ‐‐ appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty
Chest wall, pleural procedures, and chest tube insertion required
GI endoscopy required ‐‐ upper, lower, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy
Vascular surgery required ‐‐ aneurysm repairs, arterial bypass
Pediatric surgery skills preferred
