About Road Wrench

Road Wrench is seeking an experienced Mobile Fleet Diesel Technician in West Chicago, IL, offering up to $40/hour with weekly pay. Technicians work a four-day schedule, Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, with no weekends and approximately 40–43 hours per week. You'll use a company-provided service truck during work hours to diagnose and repair commercial fleet vehicles and diesel equipment at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mobile diesel diagnostics and repairs at commercial fleet customer locations
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns on commercial diesel and fleet vehicles
• Troubleshoot vehicle concerns using OEM diagnostic software and scan tools
• Service Freightliner, International, Hino, Isuzu, Kenworth, and other commercial fleet vehicles
• Complete assigned mechanical repairs and return vehicles to service
• Work independently in the field while managing scheduled service jobs

Qualifications

• 6+ years of diesel repair experience
• Strong diesel diagnostic and repair skills
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Experience with OEM diagnostic software and scan tools
• Own a professional tool set appropriate for your experience
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Commercial fleet, Cummins diagnostic software, Autel, or Master/A-Level diesel experience preferred
