Monday ‐ Friday schedule with beeper call at a 4 ‐ 6 ratio
5 ‐ 7 patients per shift
Inpatient and outpatient rounding ‐‐ complex GI patients
Scheduled colonoscopies followed by inpatient consults
Upper GI endoscopy, ERCP, PEG, EUS, and liver biopsy required
Esophageal dilatation, manometry, and small bowel biopsy required
Lower GI endoscopy and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management required
Leave coverage ‐‐ 7‐day assignment
