Hourly Pay Range:
$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Position Highlights:
- Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant
- Location: Evanston, IL
- Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30AM-5:30PM
- Required Travel: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs
What you will do:
- Answer phones
- Schedule appointments
- Collect co-payments
- Complete patient registration
- Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
- Check in and check out patient
- Verify insurances
- Greet patients and escort them to exam room
- Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
- Provide front office support as needed
- Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
- Phlebotomy and injections may be required
What you will need:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
- Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required
- Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience
