Ambercare Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse Admissions to join our newly restructured team in Espanola, NM. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a refreshed and energized team that is building a positive, collaborative environment where every voice matters. This position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Additional details will be discussed during the hiring process.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform pre-admission evaluations for the appropriateness of services.
  • Initiates the admission process by educating and informing patients/families of its services.
  • Obtains informed consent
  • Provides nursing assessment, initial plan of care, and intervention(s) that optimize patient and family-directed comfort and quality of life.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program
  • Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice
  • Must possess current CPR Certification
  • 1 year of Hospice experience, preferred
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, agency personnel, and the general public
  • Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and assurance procedures
