Position Overview
BodySync PT is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and passionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at our facility in Monticello, New York. Key Responsibilities
- Administer direct patient care as directed by licensed Physical Therapists, following all procedures and protocols outlined in the patient’s treatment plan.
- Document patient progress meticulously in accordance with department protocols, ensuring accurate and timely submission of records.
- Maintain and update patient progress notes and discharge summaries, contributing to the continuity of care.
- Participate actively in department emergency procedures, ensuring patient safety and responsiveness in critical situations.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, assisting with chart reviews and those activities that enhance overall care quality.
- Attend family meetings and conferences to communicate effectively about patient progress and therapy goals, fostering strong relationships with family members.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, emphasizing flexibility and a commitment to team goals.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patient population primarily includes individuals undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions, injuries, and post-surgical recoveries. You will work closely with patients of various ages and backgrounds, tailoring therapeutic approaches to each unique circumstance. Qualifications
- Currently active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of New York.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in physical therapy, particularly in orthopedic settings.
- Strong proficiency in therapeutic exercise techniques, manual therapy skills, and rehabilitation practices.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
