What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, expertly managing front desk operations, including efficient check-ins and check-outs.
- Warmly greet and welcome patients, providing comprehensive assistance with questions regarding appointments, payments, and schedules.
- Efficiently manage a multi-line phone system, skillfully screening and routing calls, and taking accurate messages for clinical staff and providers.
- Ensure all necessary verifications and authorizations are meticulously completed prior to patient appointments.
- Collaborate effectively with providers to align scheduling preferences and respond promptly to urgent patient needs, ensuring seamless coordination.
- Provide essential patient support by utilizing reference documents and tools to address inquiries comprehensively.
- Execute various critical administrative tasks, including maintaining information and paging databases, and processing internal forms with precision.
- Effectively utilize advanced telephone systems and electronic medical records systems to perform daily tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Consistently meet or exceed organizational and department service standards, contributing to a culture of excellence.
- Respond to non-clinical patient messages and inquiries with empathy and clarity, escalating as appropriate to ensure timely resolution.
- Manage and distribute incoming faxes, mail, and clinic-specific documentation, maintaining organization and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Ability to work the following schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Must-Have Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficiency in computer systems and relevant software applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills appropriate for a professional setting.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service, solve problems efficiently, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Windows-based office software, computers, and operating systems.
- Ability to adapt communication style to effectively engage with diverse individuals.
- Proven ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in stressful situations.
