Senior Accounting Specialist/CPA

A highly respected, Center City law firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to drive their financial operations. This role offers direct exposure to executive leadership and ownership over the complete financial cycle within a high-caliber environment. This position will report to the CFO and have exposure to all accounting.

Responsibilities

• Financial Close Leadership: Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, general ledger accuracy, and complex account reconciliations.
  

• Corporate Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for leadership.
  

• Treasury & Operations: Oversee daily cash management, operational accounting workflows, and specialized professional distributions (e.g., partner equity/compensation).
  

• Compliance & Trust Accounts: Oversee client trust accounts (IOLTA) in strict compliance with legal frameworks, and lead internal control optimization.
  

• Tax & Audit Liaison: Coordinate all documentation and schedules for external CPA firms handling annual reviews and tax filings.
  

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Active CPA or CPA candidate is HIGHLY preferred.
Public accounting or professional services firm background is highly desirable
Advanced Excel capabilities and experience optimizing accounting software systems.
Absolute discretion, strong executive presence, and the confidence to interact directly with partners and C-suite leadership.
