Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 10 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have MS and oncology experience in checklist (1 year minimum). MS/Tele (Medical-Surgical/Telemetry). Telemetry monitoring. Interpretation of dysrhythmias. Use of Rapid Response Teams. Feeding tube care and management. Blood product administration. Central line blood draw. Peripheral line care/management. PICC line management. Nasal cannula administration.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Unit Details: BMT (14 & 15W James); mixed acuity PCU and MS unit. Adult and geriatric patient population. Patient population includes acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), adult acute myeloid leukemia, amyloidosis, aplastic anemia, chronic leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), chronic myeloid leukemia, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome, myeloproliferative disorders, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Autologous transplants: patients receive their own stem cells. Syngeneic transplants: patients receive stem cells from their identical twin. Allogeneic transplants: patients receive stem cells from their sibling, parent, or an unrelated donor. CAR-T therapy. Heavy focus on infection prevention and patient falls.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement varies based on unit needs.

Floating Requirements: Float to other MedSurg Oncology units.
