Work Environment
This position is primarily based in a home care setting, allowing our Physical Therapists to provide direct care in a variety of patient environments. Key Responsibilities
As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Fairview Rehabilitation Center, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical history and performing targeted assessments to develop an individualized treatment plan.
- Communicating evaluation findings and treatment strategies to patients and their families, ensuring they are actively involved in goal-setting and care decisions.
- Implementing treatment protocols that are evidenced-based and adaptable to the evolving healthcare landscape, ensuring that patient safety and comfort are top priorities.
- Consulting and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and address changes in patient conditions that may necessitate modifications to treatment plans.
- Documenting all patient care activities promptly and accurately, creating a clear and comprehensive record that reflects each patient's journey through rehabilitation.
- Maintaining productivity targets and managing your schedule effectively to meet the demands of patient care.

- Participating in departmental goal-setting and contributing to various initiatives designed to enhance service delivery.

- Acting as a clinical instructor for students, fostering the next generation of physical therapists while deriving fulfillment from teaching.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. This may include patients of all ages with varying degrees of mobility challenges. Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Florida, as well as certification with the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
