The Transportation Coordinator will provide clerical and administrative support to material recovery route operations in New Bedford, MA. They will liaison between Customer Service Representatives in the field, Sales, and Drivers. This position will be responsible for ensuring all billing and administrative functions in the New Bedford are completed with 100% accuracy. They will also be responsible for assisting the Operations Manager and Transportation Supervisor as needed and directed.
$27-$30/HR based on experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track daily material inventories and report to Commodities Group.
- Maintain an accurate customer information database
- Create daily driver route plans
- Track and ship commodity loads using IFS system.
- Oversee the successful close of the monthly billing cycles and bridge report.
- Data enter and close out any open service execution not recorded in MHX system.
- Coordinate the creation of order numbers for RC deliveries.
- Compare Driver Pick Up Information with Unload Data.
- Audit processes and unloads of 3rd party processor to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Communicate route pickups and equipment assignment to drivers for following day routes.
- Ensure driver/break room is in neat and orderly condition.
- Track and order necessary office supplies.
- Provide drivers with daily paperwork and other essential communications.
- Communicate timely and effectively with customer service teams, customer accounts, and drivers.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree or equivalent; bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Transportation experience or knowledge preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of clerical or administrative experience.
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS-Office products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
