Family Health Physician

Primary Care Physician physician job in New York :

A private practice in Long Island (Nassau County) is currently seeking a licensed Physician, with a Family or Internal Medicine background, for a promising opportunity at one of their facilities in Suffolk County.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each patient upon their appointment
• Elicit and record information about patients' medical history
• Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on the patient's condition
• Analyze reports and findings of tests and examinations, and diagnose the condition of the patient
• Administer or prescribe treatments and medications
• Promote health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for the prevention of diseases
• Determine the need for a modified diet and physical activities, and recommend a plan
• Inoculate and vaccinate patients to immunize them from communicable diseases
• Perform surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency
• Refer the patient to other medical specialists for consultant services when necessary for the patient's well-being
• Oversee, review, supervise, and act in a preceptor role to family practice residents
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
• Board Certified in Family or Internal Medicine

Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
