Summary
About the Role: Clinical Pharmacist, located at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD specializing in the management of patients with pain and Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). This position serves as the pain management expert, developing effective individualized pain management treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals across the health-system to establish order sets and policies, providing guidance and education to promote and advance pain management and opioid stewardship activities. The successful candidate will provide guidance on management of withdrawal and acute pain in patients with opioid use disorder and will lead the pain stewardship activities for the facility while collaborating with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals across the Lifebridgehealth (LBH) System on various pharmacy and multidisciplinary committees.
Beyond direct patient care, the successful candidate will have opportunities to serve as a mentor and educator for pharmacy residents, pharmacy students, pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals across other disciplines. Responsibilities also include areas of regulatory compliance, quality improvement, formulary management, drug information, practice advancement, process development and coordination of associated EHR enhancements.
Qualifications:
PharmB or MScPhm or PharmD
PGY-1 residency or two post-graduate practice years of direct patient care experience
Pharmacist License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
