This correctional facility provides primary care services to adult patients in a secure clinical environment in Capron. The facility operates with established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery and is supported by registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Credentialing for this position is estimated at two weeks.

Capron offers visitors a selection of experiences, including farm experiences at Panda Homestead and scenic boat tours through James River Batteau Company. Clinicians will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients in a correctional facility setting Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the potential to work four 10-hour shifts, managing approximately 18-20 patients per day. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, managing chronic medical conditions, and treating acute illnesses while maintaining accurate documentation. No call coverage is required for this position. Required credentials include a state license, DEA registration, board certification, and prescriptive authority.
