Full job description
We believe general-purpose, generally-intelligent robots will be built in our lifetimes. Robots will work in our factories, move our goods, walk on our streets and eventually be in our homes. To build that future, research and deployment must work in lockstep: real-world operation must make the technology better and better technology must make deployment easier. We're looking for the thinkers, builders, and researchers who want to be part of that loop.
As an AI robotics frontier lab that deploys its inventions directly into the facilities that need them, on state-of-the-art hardware, every line of code or piece of copy written at Tutor has a direct impact on the global, physical economy.
Culture
We believe that something truly special can happen when talented, motivated people work together; at Tutor, every member of our team is empowered to have real impact in everything that they do. We’re characterized by both technical excellence and a focus on collaboration and respect.
The Role
We're hiring Tutor's first dedicated marketing hire: a senior, hands-on Product Marketing Lead who will own how Tutor tells its story and build the machine that produces the external proof.
Tutor has robots working in production across dozens of customer facilities, quantified customer outcomes, a unique technical story behind frontier robot capabilities, and product lines spanning high-velocity mid-market deals to seven-figure enterprise programs. What we don't yet have is a person whose full-time job is turning all of that into messaging, proof points, and collateral that make our products dramatically easier to sell. That's this role.
This is a batteries-included senior IC role. You'll come in executing on day one — writing, shipping, and building — not waiting on a team or an agency. You'll partner daily with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Research, Engineering and the founders. As the marketing function grows, we expect you to take on reports and grow into a team lead.
We are an AI company, and we expect our marketing to be AI-native: much of our collateral production should run on agentic pipelines that you design and supervise, and your leverage should be taste, message, and systems building.
Responsibilities
Messaging & Positioning
Customer Proof Engine
Product & Engineering Partnership
AI-Native Sales Enablement & Content Operations
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years in B2B product marketing or full-stack marketing, including meaningful time at an early-stage startup where you shipped the work yourself.
- Exceptional writer and maker — you produce finished, publishable work, not briefs for someone else to execute.
- Experience marketing technical products to non-technical operational buyers (plant managers, ops and supply chain leaders) and supporting a direct sales motion in tight partnership with AEs and SDRs.
- Experience bringing a novel product or category to market — creating demand and understanding where little existed, rather than capturing it in a crowded space.
- AI-native: you already use LLMs and agents as core tools in your daily work and are excited to build content production systems around them.
- High-agency, creative, and comfortable with ambiguity — you'd rather own the whole problem than a slice of it.
- Based in / willing to relocate to the Boston area — this role is in person at our Watertown HQ; travel up to ~20% (customer sites, trade shows), though likely less.
Preferred Experience
- Robotics, industrial automation, manufacturing, supply chain & logistics, or other capital-equipment / hardware categories.
- Marketing into CPG, food & beverage, cosmetics/personal care, or contract manufacturing.
- Working demand-gen literacy (you can run or closely direct campaigns, nurture, and measurement even if it's not your core craft).
- Video and visual storytelling chops.
- Software or computer science background — experience programming or an engineering degree.
