Overview:

Sentara Imaging Center at Sentara BelleHarbour, in Suffolk, VA, is currently hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist II for a Part Time, Day Shift.

                                               

Hours

  • Monday - Friday: 7am - 3:30pm

Overview

Conducts general Nuclear Medicine imaging of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology. Competent in preperation, dose management  and administration of radiopharmceuticals, radioisotopes , operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment, provides patient and family education and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination procedure and discharge instructions to patient and completes departmental documentation. Complies with all radioactive activity monitoring and documentation. Performs to all quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by all state, federal, and local agencies.

Education

  • Trade School degree in Radiologic Technology or Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine (Required)

Certification/Licensure

  • ARRT or CNMT (Required) 

  • BLS

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $44.90 - $65.99 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.

The Advanced Imaging Center at BelleHarbour is conveniently located on the campus of Sentara BelleHarbour in Western Tidewater. The center is home to a 3T MRI, CT, PET CT, full digital mammography, ultrasound, bone densitometry, PVL (vascular imaging services), non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing, and digital X-ray. Physicians and patients also benefit from the expertise of our sub-specialized radiologists who ensure accurate results from the high quality images. Our sub-specialties include women’s imaging, musculoskeletal (MSK), body and neuroradiology.
