The One-Man Plant Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance, reliability, and operation of plant equipment, facilities, utilities, and infrastructure. As the sole engineering and maintenance resource on-site, this role serves as a hands-on technical leader responsible for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, capital projects, safety compliance, contractor management, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires a self-motivated professional who can work independently while balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational support.

Shift: Monday through Friday 7AM to 3PM

Pay: $53.23 – $62.58

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Reliability



  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process equipment.
  • Minimize downtime through proactive maintenance planning and rapid response to equipment failures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, and spare parts inventories.
  • Coordinate and oversee vendor support and specialized repair services when required.
  • Plant Operations Support

  • Ensure continuous operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support to production teams to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor plant performance metrics and identify opportunities for operational improvements.


  • Qualifications

    Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and experience may be considered.
  • Experience

  • 4+ years of industrial maintenance, plant engineering, or manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Experience working independently in a small manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of PLCs, electrical systems, motors, controls, pumps, conveyors, and industrial equipment.
  • Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards.
  • Proficiency with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Project management and contractor coordination experience.
