Full job description

Special Education Teacher for a 36-week contract in Gardner, MA. Supports students with social-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs. Earns up to $57 per hour with competitive pay and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in a social-emotional behavioral sub-separate classroom setting

  • Implement individualized education plans according to state and district standards

  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and other professionals to support student needs

  • Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment

  • Monitor and document student progress and adjust strategies as necessary

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 8 students

Qualifications:

  • MA K-8 Special Education Teacher license

  • Valid Massachusetts teaching license for K-8 Special Education

  • Minimum 1 year of special education teaching experience

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Ability to work with a caseload of approximately 8 students

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
