Job Summary
Assists Technologist and Physicians with all procedures to maximize patient satisfaction, comfort, and care. Assists Technologist and Physician in procedural performance, providing patient care, stocking supplies, clerical and IT duties as needed.

C. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
Demonstrates the required job specific technical/professional knowledge, skills and abilities. *
1. Performs proper handwashing techniques before and after every patient and is competent in all universal precautions as per hospital wide Infection Control policies
2. Demonstrates ability to select correct patient ID and exam from Worklist Manager
3. Assists physicians in locating images within RIS and PACS Workstations
4. Keeps CT areas clean and orderly using proper cleaning techniques as per hospital policy and manufacturer’s guidelines on wet/dry times
5. Prepares patients for CT exams
6. Instructs patient on gowning and security of personal belongings
7. Provides preliminary information regarding procedure
8. Sets up supplies as requested by technologist
9. Prepares and sets up Radiology room for procedures
10. Assists technologists during procedure as needed and instructed including moving patients and obtaining supplies and equipment
11. Transports patients within Diagnostic Imaging Department and to/from the Emergency Department or floors if necessary. Always performing the double identified as per hospital policy
12. Stocks changing rooms daily and as needed
13. Stocks blanket warmers daily and as needed
14. Confirms patient flow stays in contact with patients regarding appointment times
15. Prepares patients prior to CT exams
16. Performs other related functions as required or instructed by the CT/MRI Supervisor and/or Radiology Director
