IT Application Engineer

Our client, a leader in innovative automotive solutions, is seeking a dedicated IT Application Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an IT Application Engineer, you will be part of the IT Applications team supporting Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to technical challenges, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: IT Application Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $83/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement features, upgrades, migrations, and integrations for ALM applications.
• Monitor application performance using established practices and methods to ensure optimal operation.
• Manage workflows, change management processes, approvals, sign-offs, and in-application configurations to meet stakeholder needs.
• Evaluate new tools and services, supporting the development of custom integrations using Java and Python.
• Update template and project configurations, workflows, and work item metadata to improve application efficiency.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Development experience in Java, JavaScript, Velocity, and Python.
• Experience with Polarion within regulated industries such as medical devices, aerospace, financial, or automotive sectors is preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility, willingness to learn, and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and technical issues.
