About the Program
The Retail Leadership Development Program (RLDP) is Holman’s flagship rotational experience designed to build a robust pipeline of leaders with a 360° view of Retail operations. Over the course of 2½ years, participants gain hands-on experience across key dealership functions, ranging from lot operations and service advising to inventory management and sales leadership.
This immersive program blends frontline exposure with strategic leadership development. RLDP is designed for partners seeking to deepen their understanding of retail operations and prepare for future leadership opportunities within the organization.
Program Highlights
Rotational Experience: Participants rotate through 10+ roles including Lot Attendant, Service Advisor, Inventory Manager, Sales Consultant, Finance Consultant, and Sales Manager.
Structured Development: Each rotation includes targeted learning objectives, performance evaluations, and leadership coaching.
Leadership Exposure: Participants engage in stretch projects, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to build business acumen and leadership readiness.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree OR currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027.
Degree concentration in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Communications, Hospitality, Automotive Management, or a related field preferred.
Demonstrated leadership experience through internships, student organizations, athletics, volunteer work, campus leadership roles, military service, or part-time employment.
Strong interest in leadership, retail operations, customer experience, and business management.
Proven ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively while also taking initiative and ownership of responsibilities.
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by dealership operations.
Ability to travel locally (Raleigh/Cary, possibly Wendell and Aberdeen at times) between assigned dealership locations and rotational assignments.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
