About the Facility

The facilities serving this assignment are two small community hospitals in Florida supporting outpatient surgeries, endoscopy procedures, and short-stay inpatient care depending on patient conditions. The clinical environment maintains established perioperative workflows with on-site anesthesia support staff, including Anesthesia Technicians and CRNAs, across both locations. Clinicians must be prepared to cover both facilities as needed, with daily scheduling confirmed by surgical and anesthesia staff the day prior.
About the Facility Location

Florida offers a range of attractions suited to diverse interests, from theme parks and cultural destinations to nature-based experiences and coastal areas. Clinicians on assignment may explore options such as snorkeling tours, dolphin cruises, wildlife safaris, and aquariums, as well as culinary tours and historical sites across cities including Miami, Orlando, Key West, and St. Augustine. The state provides year-round recreational and cultural opportunities across its varied regions.
About the Clinicians Workday

The anesthesiologist will provide locum tenens coverage under a physician supervision model at two small community facilities in Florida, covering both inpatient and outpatient settings including operating room responsibilities, with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, beeper call Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM. The surgical case mix includes OB spinals and epidurals, orthopedic upper and lower extremity regional blocks, general surgery, TAP blocks, bread and butter cases, and endoscopy procedures, with 5-20 cases daily. The clinician may work independent cases or provide supervision of CRNAs, with MD to CRNA ratios of 1-3 or 1-4 at one facility and 1-5 at the Pasadena location; all clinicians must be prepared to cover both facilities and maintain flexibility with shift times, as scheduling is confirmed the day prior by surgical and anesthesia staff. Board certification in Anesthesiology, a minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience, and prescriptive authority are required for this assignment.
