The product manager, under the direction of the head of product strategy, is responsible for managing a designated line of products with a strong emphasis on professional irrigation solutions and related technologies. This includes product lifecycle planning such as new product development, sustained product management, and end-of-life transitions for assigned product lines. 

 

The product manager supports the company growth strategy by driving innovative, market-relevant products that serve irrigation professionals, and distributors, helping achieve top-line revenue and bottom-line profit targets. The role is responsible for ensuring that product data within assigned lines is complete, accurate, and precise. 

 

The product manager leads product expertise for their assigned lines, with particular focus on irrigation systems, and water management technologies, ensuring products meet the evolving needs of the professional irrigation market. 

 

What You Need to Know:  

• Creates and owns the product roadmap to deliver a steady flow of innovative products, particularly in professional irrigation market, while energizing existing products and improving underperforming ones. 

• Defines the product’s long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap with consideration for irrigation industry trends, customer needs, water efficiency demands, and competitive landscape. 

• Works closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other stakeholders to deliver innovation and execute product development for professional irrigation products.  

• Leads company expertise in irrigation systems, water management technologies, and field application solutions within assigned product lines. 

• Conducts ongoing market and competitor analysis focused on agricultural irrigation, precision watering systems, and professional landscape irrigation markets. 

• Incorporates insights from internal teams and external channels such as field feedback from contractors, distributors, online reviews, return data, and customer care to improve irrigation product performance and usability. 

• Continuously strives to reduce complexity within the irrigation product portfolio, improving usability, reliability, and field performance. 

 

What We Are Looking For: 

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent industry experience
• 10+ years experience preferred 
• Strong understanding of professional irrigation systems, or related field-based product ecosystems is highly desirable. 

• Ability to translate field performance needs (installers, contractors) into actionable product requirements. 

• Familiarity with water efficiency, irrigation scheduling, smart controllers, and pumping systems, a plus
