Maintenance Electrician

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to help maintain and improve the reliability of our production equipment and facility systems.
In this role, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your expertise will be critical in minimizing downtime, supporting production, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your electrical, PLC, and troubleshooting skills while working with advanced manufacturing technologies.
What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will:
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and control systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
- Diagnose equipment failures and determine root causes to develop effective repair solutions.
- Repair and replace electrical components including motors, drives, circuit breakers, wiring, controls, and related equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment including plasma welders, sub-arc systems, Lincoln and Miller power supplies, heat treatment furnaces, and rod ovens.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, CNC machinery, and building automation systems.
- Use diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support repairs and installations.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives to improve equipment reliability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and provide recommendations regarding repairs, upgrades, and replacement of aging components.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inventory usage documentation.
- Collaborate closely with operations and production teams to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with electrical systems and industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Basic computer skills, including email and maintenance management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent electrical certification.
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, CNC equipment, VFDs, and automated manufacturing systems.
- Experience supporting welding equipment, furnaces, and industrial production machinery.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
- Experience working rotating shifts or supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations.
