Full job description
Our client, a surgical tissue simulation lab, is seeking a Production Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Production Technician
Location: Durham, NC
Pay Range: $22 per hour
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
What's the Job?
- Receive materials into inventory using established processes and ensure complete transactional accuracy.
- Pull and issue materials to production lines according to pick lists and material requests in a timely manner.
- Restock production lines and designated areas to maintain continuous production flow.
- Thaw tissue and prepare materials according to pick lists and required timelines.
- Pick up and return materials from production areas, ensuring proper movement and accurate system documentation.
- Perform tissue planning and derinding processes in accordance with specifications.
- Complete SAP allocations, confirmations, and work order transactions.
- Support physical material movement in both ambient and cold environments.
- Assist with cycle counting and inventory accuracy activities.
- Document work and assist in identifying root causes of transactional or material discrepancies.
- Follow standard work procedures with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve performance, efficiency, and communication.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What's Needed?
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and/or Smartsheet.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or material handling.
- Prior material handling experience (1+ years).
- Ability to write basic correspondence.
- Ability to identify and suggest simple process improvements.
- Strong problem‑solving and solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience with SAP or similar work order systems.
- Agile experience (preferred).
