About the Position

Our client is seeking local CDL A Drivers for a consistent route between the Boston port and Taftville, Connecticut. This position covers routes throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut and features no-touch freight. Automatic-only drivers are welcome to apply.

Pay & Schedule

  • $30 per hour
  • Estimated weekly gross pay of $1,800
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Start time between 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
  • Local work based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island
  • Temp-to-perm opportunity

Job Details

  • Route type: Local
  • Route: Boston port to Taftville, Connecticut
  • Freight: Furniture in 40-foot ocean containers
  • Handling: No-touch freight
  • Equipment: Automatic equipment available

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete two round trips each day between the Boston port and Taftville, Connecticut.
  • Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle on local routes across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
  • Transport furniture in 40-foot ocean containers.
  • Perform no-touch freight operations while following all applicable safety and transportation regulations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
  • 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
  • Valid TWIC card.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
  • Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
