Responsibilities
FM Boiler Re, a division of FM, is seeking a full-time Claims Analyst position in our Malvern, PA headquarters. For nearly 140 years, FM Boiler Re has been a leading provider of equipment breakdown reinsurance and today has more than 250 treaty partnerships across North America.
This position will be responsible for evaluating claims for mechanical, electrical, or pressure system breakdown events. This position requires investigating the equipment loss claimed, establishing contact with all pertinent parties involved, conducting research of equipment claimed, and providing recommendations with our Partner Company and insured (if applicable) for either settlement or declination of the submitted claim.
This position is primarily responsible for adjusting homeowner claims with an occasional commercial or farm loss. Occasionally, this position will require the assistance in data entry/clerical duties such as establishing new losses in the FM Boiler Re claims database.
Qualifications:Education: College degree or equivalent job experience
Experience: Experience in the Equipment Breakdown Insurance Industry or prior experience in claims adjustment in similar or nonrelated insurance arena.
Skills/Knowledge: Must have or must obtain state adjuster licenses. Strong relationship management and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal, listening, organizational, written and oral communication skills. Must be analytical and detail oriented. Must have integrity and exhibit a team-oriented attitude while establishing trust and credibility. Able to process information quickly and apply it to current business situations. Able to operate in a paperless environment.
