Responsible for the development, management and implementation of companywide communications efforts, including, but not limited to, public relations, social media and internal communications.

  • Develop and execute communications plans in support of the Company’s strategic communications initiatives, ensuring alignment of message and efforts between the Company’s public relations, social media and internal communications channels.
  • Develop press releases and related materials in support of public relations initiatives nationwide; manage external PR agencies to ensure consistency of message and efficient workflow.
  • Develop master calendar and content for Boyd Gaming’s Corporate social media pages, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X.
  • Develop master calendar and content for Company’s internal communications platform.
  • Oversee production, editing and archiving of photos, video, infographics and other multimedia materials in support of strategic communications initiatives; manage third-party graphic designers, photographers and videographers as necessary.
  • Manage the Company’s media, investor relations and corporate responsibility websites. Review and update website copy as needed.
  • Assist in production of key department publications, including the Annual Report and Corporate Responsibility report.  
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience; experience in the gaming industry a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Communications, Journalism or related discipline preferred.
  • Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Able to switch gears quickly, maintain calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Team-oriented attitude a must. Willing to go beyond defined job duties when required to support critical department projects.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Co-Pilot).
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
