Full job description
Hogan Lovells Cadwalader US LLP is seeking a mid- to senior-level transactional associate to join our IP & Technology Transactions practice in our San Francisco office. Successful candidates should have strong academic credentials, significant experience handling technology and IP-focused transactions, at least five years of law firm practice, and a demonstrated ability to lead teams and mentor junior associates. Relevant work experience includes drafting and negotiating development, collaboration, licensing, supply chain, outsourcing, and technology services agreements; managing the IP and M&A due diligence in corporate transactions; drafting and negotiating IP provisions in corporate transactional agreements; and advising clients on IP ownership, protection and licensing strategies in a variety of industry sectors, such as software, semiconductors, AI, internet/ecommerce, life sciences, automotive, aerospace, and consumer products.
Experience in technology-driven industries is strongly preferred. This role offers the opportunity for significant client interaction and meaningful responsibility advising leading technology companies, investors, and global enterprises on sophisticated technology, IP, and commercial transactions within a collaborative and dynamic practice.
The expected base salary range for this role is $365,000 to $420,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual performance bonuses and discretionary bonuses. Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off.
