Position Title:

Adjunct Faculty - Engineering Management (Accepting Applications)

Job Description:

The Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business at Mount St. Mary’s University invites applications for part-time Adjunct Faculty in Engineering Management beginning Spring 2027 and ongoing.
The Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business is accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) and is committed to preparing students for lives of significance in business and society. Our programs emphasize ethics, leadership, entrepreneurship, and global perspectives, consistent with Mount St. Mary’s mission as a Catholic liberal arts university.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned upper-division courses in Engineering Management, including Systems Engineering, Quality Control & Lean Six Sigma, and Engineering Management Capstone.
  • Deliver engaging online instruction and maintain high academic standards.
  • Provide timely feedback and academic support to students.
  • Adhere to course outcomes and assessment standards established by the Bolte School of Business.
  • Apply relevant academic and professional expertise in engineering management, systems engineering, quality control, Lean Six Sigma, project management, operations, or related fields.

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:

Required

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations, or a related field, OR a Ph.D. in one of these areas.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.

Preferred

  • Prior university-level teaching experience.
  • Professional or industry experience in engineering, engineering management, systems engineering, quality management, Lean Six Sigma, project management, operations, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as Lean Six Sigma, are desirable.
  • Experience applying quantitative and analytical methods to engineering, quality, operations, or process-improvement problems.
  • Evidence of scholarly engagement and professional development.

Salary 

$3500/per course
