Is a registered COTA in Colorado or is eligible for registration in the state of Colorado.
A minimum of one-year experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in a long-term care facility preferred. A minimum of one year’s experience working with a frail or elderly population required. What You’ll Be Responsible For The
COTA
will provide quality ongoing therapy to all participants of the Senior CommUnity Care program. Communicate on an ongoing basis with OTR, participants and staff, the progress of such designed programs. The
COTA
assists the Occupational Therapist with participant related activities and direct participant care. The Assistant keeps department records as per facility policy. Assists in ordering, inventory, distribution and maintenance of durable medical equipment (DME) for participants as needed. Optimize function and safety among participants to ensure establishment of strong rehab care practice within the Senior CommUnity Care program. Assist with planning, scheduling, mailing, transporting, filing of documents and coordinating of Occupational Therapy services offered by the department. Provides Occupational Therapy to the participants under the direction of the OTR. Assists with the participant care planning process as delegated by the Registered Occupational Therapist. Performs other duties as required or requested. About Us
