This comprehensive emergency department offers a team that is trained to treat the full spectrum of pediatric emergencies with access to board certified pediatric specialists. Position Highlights:
- Annual patient volume of 27,000
- 13-bed ED
- EMR: Cerner
- 24 hours of physician coverage (12-hour shifts)
- 12 to 24 hours of APC coverage
- Board-certified acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP or AGACNP) through ANCC or AACN, or board-certified pediatric primary care nurse practitioner (PPCNP) through ANCC
- Prefer 2+ years in peds
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of APCs
- Current ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Texas medical license and DEA or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Employee status (W2) status
