Senior IT Support

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level administration and technical support for Windows, Linux/UNIX, and other specialized RDT&E computing environments.
• Configure, administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure desktops, servers, workstations, and associated IT infrastructure.
• Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, patching, and lifecycle support.
• Support the establishment, accreditation/authorization, maintenance, documentation, and decommissioning of IT systems and enclaves.
• Implement and maintain system security configurations, security patches, access controls, backups, and other cybersecurity requirements.
• Monitor system access and support remediation of identified vulnerabilities, discrepancies, and security-related deficiencies.
• Assist with Information Assurance/Information System Security activities and may perform duties associated with IAO/IAM and CSA/FSA responsibilities when designated.
• Maintain software inventories, licensing information, approved software configurations, and associated technical documentation.
• Support software approval, configuration management, device control, and other Directorate-level IT and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Provide technical assistance to end users and resolve complex hardware, software, operating system, network, and application issues.
• Coordinate with Government and contractor personnel to ensure systems remain compliant with applicable Air Force and DoD policies and technical requirements.
• Support periodic system backups and recovery activities to protect mission data and maintain system availability.
• Provide technical recommendations for system improvements, modernization, interoperability, and configuration changes.
