Full job description
Planned Parenthood Southeast (PPSE) is seeking a visionary, mission-driven clinician to serve as Associate Medical Director . Working under the guidance of the Medical Director, you will provide clinical leadership, mentor the next generation of providers, and deliver compassionate, patient-centered reproductive healthcare across Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi . Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Quality Assurance
Supervise & Mentor: Guide affiliate clinicians, conduct performance evaluations, and lead provider training to enhance clinical competency.
Oversee Quality & Risk: Guide Quality and Risk Management (QRM) strategies, lead peer review processes, and serve on the Clinical Subcommittee.
Protocol Development: Create and update affiliate protocols in alignment with Medical Standards and Guidelines (MS&Gs).
Program Development & Education
Expand Services: Collaborate on new clinical service development, optimize workflows, and update protocols.
Academic Partnerships: Build connections with academic institutions and serve as a preceptor for medical students and residents.
Representation: Represent PPSE at local and national medical conferences.
Direct Patient Care
Comprehensive Care: Deliver direct clinical services including advanced gynecology, family planning, abortion care (first and second trimester), and gender-affirming health services.
Diagnostic Management: Perform, order, and interpret screening and diagnostic tests.
EHR Documentation: Maintain accurate, clear documentation using PPSE's Electronic Health Record system while ensuring absolute HIPAA compliance.
Qualification Requirements
Education & Licensure
Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution. Active Georgia license and willing to obtain Alabama license.
Certification: OB/GYN Board certified preferred.
Licenses: Must hold and maintain active GA Medical License , GA Dispensing License , and DEA Registration .
Credentialing: Must clear credentialing by the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) Insurance Liability Division.
Experience & Skills
Clinical Experience: 3-5 years post-residency experience, with at least 3 years specifically in reproductive health (including first and second-trimester abortion care).
Leadership: Proven track record in medical program development and clinical staff supervision.
Tech-Savvy: Experience with digital healthcare delivery and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Languages: Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred but not required.
Operational & Travel Commitments
Travel: Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% to various PPSE locations
