Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, VA is looking for a Food Service Worker - Utility. This is a Flexi position, with rotating shifts as needed.

Overview

Food Service Workers are essential members of the food services team who offer support to the team and contribute in multiple ways, such as delivering nutritious meals and providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• preparing and assembling food according to dietary guidelines,

• safety and customer preferences,

• maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas,

• washing dishes,

• working as a cashier,

• meeting utility needs, and

• ensuring food safety standards are upheld.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Certification/Licensure

• Food Card Handler (Required)

Experience

• This position entails various responsibilities, including but not limited to preparing and assembling food according to dietary guidelines, safety and customer preferences, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, washing dishes, working as a cashier, meeting utility needs, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld.
• As a Food Service Worker with Sentara, you work in the different aspects of delivering food to the patients.


We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $18.02 - $26.54 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
