Job Title: CAD Operator/Designer
Location: Morgan City, LA
Job Overview: The CAD Operator/Designer ensures that the design product and engineering deliverables conform to engineering design and customer specifications, preparing BOM (Bills of Material), and consulting with vendors on project related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develops detailed drawings based on applicable specifications.
• Works order instructions under the supervision and direction of an Engineer.
• The Designer will also coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.
Experience:
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of shipyard production experience.
• Must have the knowledge of AutoCAD/Ship Constructor.
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft applications (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word) is required.
• Experience or training in using computer-aided design software is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
• Creating Ship Constructor models.
• Preforms supervised mark-ups.
