40Summary:
The Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting the patients and establishing a friendly and positive in-take and check out encounter for each patient’s visit requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to changes in both staffing levels and patient volumes. The receptionist is responsible for maintaining patient flow, answering phones promptly and courteously, scheduling, registering, billing and payment collection activities for clinic patients while following all applicable policies and procedures. They will successfully learn and understand diversified insurance plans and medical terminology.
Education & Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Customer service experience.
Experience working in a busy clinic/practice preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills.
Maturity to withstand pressure that may arise in relation to the public and physician.
Strong multitasking stills preferred.
Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm (or last patient)
