Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship * Lakeland, Florida

Teach the next generation of cardiologists while practicing the full breadth of cardiovascular medicine. Lakeland Regional Health is expanding as an academic center and seeking a General Cardiologist to join our faculty as a core educator in our ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship. At LRH, general cardiologists are the backbone of the fellows' training experience - modeling clinical judgment and evidence-based care across the inpatient and outpatient continuum.

The Role

* Core faculty appointment: fellow supervision on the inpatient consult service and in continuity clinic, structured didactics, milestone-based evaluation, and Clinical Competency Committee participation.

* Protected academic time for teaching, curriculum development, scholarship, and QI - built into the schedule.

* Balanced clinical practice: inpatient consultative and outpatient general cardiology, with a full noninvasive imaging ecosystem and subspecialty colleagues in HF, interventional, and EP.

* Mentorship and scholarship: guide fellow research and QI with support from our on-site Research Department and simulation lab.

Qualifications

MD/DO, board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Disease (ABMS/AOA) * current Florida license or ability to obtain * demonstrated commitment to trainee education * clinical competence across inpatient and outpatient general cardiology, including noninvasive imaging.
