Join our dedicated team at Athletics Therapy Center as a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Work Environment

Located onsite at our well-equipped Skilled Nursing Facility in Fredericksburg, our state-of-the-art hospital environment is tailored to ensure safety, comfort, and optimal rehabilitation outcomes. The facility is staffed by a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and nursing professionals, all working collaboratively to support residents’ healing journeys. As a PTA, you will enjoy a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, rehabilitative care according to individualized treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists.
  • Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living to promote motor skills and physical function.
  • Monitor and record patient progress, providing timely updates to the therapy and nursing teams to adjust treatment approaches as necessary.
  • Educate residents and their families about home exercises, safety practices, and recovery techniques to facilitate long-term independence.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters and participate in regular care planning meetings to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Create a positive, encouraging environment that motivates residents throughout their rehabilitation process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At our Skilled Nursing Facility, you will primarily work with a diverse population of residents, many of whom are seniors seeking recovery after surgeries, strokes, or debilitating conditions. Qualifications

  • An Associate’s Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
  • Must possess an active Virginia PTA license or be eligible for licensure.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
