Inspector – Mechanical

• Perform Mechanical measurements and visual quality assessments of received items, work in progress, and finished products.
• Perform batch inspections of completed parts.
• Report findings and inconsistencies to the production manager.
• Ability to read and understand drawings to complete inspections.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• Technical school or applicable related education and experience.
• Prior inspection experience a plus.
• Possess mechanical attributes.
• Must be fluent in English speaking and reading.
• Must be a US Citizen (preferred) or Green Card holder.

Skills/Abilities/Competencies

• Understand safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations, or actions that might cause injury to people or the environment.
• Familiar with AQL, sampling methods, and traceability.
• Inspect thread gauges, Go/No Go plug gauges, V-Blocks, Guage Blocks, height stands, dial indicators, ID/OD micrometers, inspection of pitch thread diameter, and CMM.
• Verify equipment is calibrated and operational.
• Work with Engineering & Operations, to resolve issues revealed during inspections.
• Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
• Ability to use and understand a micrometer.
• Written, Oral, communication skills required.
• Be able to document inspection results. Recording specifications. Accept or reject products.
• Lifting to 40 lbs. required.
