Job Description:
SCOPE: Obtains patient medical information, including x-rays, from various medical facilities and the patient to ensure a complete and accurate medical record. Schedules and coordinate appointments for special procedures and other testing.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Obtaining information for initial consultations
2. Scheduling medical tests and procedures
3. Performs medical record scanning
4. Assists or assumes duties of LPN as needed
5. Schedules PET CT and diagnostic CT exams from internal and external physicians.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Assisting in a clinic for 2 years or more preferred
Oncology clinic experience highly preferred
CMA (certified medical assistant) certification required from a national testing agency (NHA, NCCT, AAMA, NAHP etc.)
BLS CPR certification required
