Job Details
We are seeking an attorney to join our health care and life sciences practice, advising clients on a broad range of operational, regulatory, contractual, and compliance matters. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with organizations operating in highly regulated environments, providing practical legal guidance on day-to-day business issues, transactional matters, and evolving regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate enjoys balancing legal analysis with business problem-solving and is interested in developing a sophisticated understanding of industry-specific legal and operational challenges.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on regulatory, compliance, and operational matters affecting their business activities
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial, service, vendor, participation, and business agreements
Counsel clients regarding contractual relationships, reimbursement structures, and operational business arrangements
Analyze and interpret federal and state regulatory requirements
Assist clients with compliance initiatives, policy development, and risk mitigation strategies
Support transactional matters, including due diligence, contract review, and regulatory analysis
Prepare legal memoranda, client communications, and regulatory guidance materials
Work directly with clients to address day-to-day legal and operational issues
Collaborate with attorneys across multiple disciplines to develop practical client solutions
Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting client operations
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a regulated industry practice, health care law, regulatory law, corporate law, or related field
Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
Experience advising clients on compliance, operational, or business matters
Ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks and communicate practical guidance
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Client-facing experience and strong relationship management skills
Interest in industry-focused legal counseling and regulatory developments
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in California or the ability to waive in
Strong academic credentials
Experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Strong attention to detail and sound business judgment
Commitment to delivering practical, client-focused legal counsel
