Manufacturing Associate – Vacaville, CA

This is a fully site-based role located in Vacaville, CA. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Compensation for this role will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.

What you will do:

  • Produce innovative bio-therapeutic medicines by directly interfacing with highly automated cGMP production systems and controls.

  • Operate, clean, and sterilize fixed vessel systems, tank systems, filtration units, and column chromatography equipment for Upstream or Downstream manufacturing.

  • Exhibit detail-oriented documentation skills to ensure Right-First-Time operations across paper tickets, labels, and digital systems.

  • Prepare materials, perform seed train or buffer preparation operations, and safely dispense and aliquot hazardous components.

  • Comply strictly with cGMP regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines in a cleanroom environment.

  • Escalate process issues promptly to cross-functional team members to maintain continuous production flow.

  • Actively foster safe work practices and immediately report any safety or environmental incidents, near misses, or operational suggestions.


What we are looking for:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; advanced college coursework, technical degrees, or certifications are preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on operational discipline (candidates from structured, high-pace environments such as quick-service operations or military service are strongly encouraged to apply).

  • Strict adherence to compliance, SOPs, and established manufacturing protocols without improvising under complex conditions.

  • High level of resilience, adaptability, and effective communication skills within a fast-paced team setting.

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing/walking for up to 90% of shift, climbing stairs, lifting up to 40 lbs, and wearing required cleanroom gowning/PPE.

  • Full availability to work one of the following shifts (Front Days: Sun–Tues & Alt Wed 6:30 AM–7:30 PM; Front Nights: Sun–Tues & Alt Sat 6:30 PM–7:20 AM; Back Days: Thurs–Sat & Alt Wed 6:30 AM–7:30 PM; Back Nights: Wed–Fri & Alt Sat 6:30 PM–7:20 AM).

  • Full availability to complete the mandatory initial 2-week daytime training schedule (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM) before transitioning to permanent shift hours.
